An Online Bonanza

When we launched AVMA@Work back in the fall of 2007, we did so because we had heard from many of our members that they wanted to know more about what the AVMA does for them. Apart from convention, insurance and our journals, you asked, what’s the bang for my membership buck?

Well, you didn’t stop there. Many of you are familiar with some of our other products, especially those that we distribute online to members of AVMA leadership. You’ve been telling us that things like News Bytes, our daily summary of veterinary items in the news, or the AVMA News Bulletin, which features timely information in a concise format that complements JAVMA News, also interested you.

That’s why, just a few days ago, we made available to you a wide variety of electronic products and services designed to keep you informed and make your life a bit easier.

These e-mail newsletters and alerts are yours free through our brand-new AVMA Member E-Mail Subscription Center. We invite you to check them out and choose the ones that best serve your needs. You can get breaking alerts on animal and public health issues, legislative action alerts, an expanded early look at upcoming issues of JAVMA, AVMA membership dues notices, AVMA Annual Convention information and much, much more.

We’ll only send these to you if you ask for them. So visit the Subscription Center today, see what we can do to help you stay informed and opt-in for the products you desire.

  1. Our counterparts in medicine, the MD’s, should be so lucky as to have an organization like the AVMA representing them! It is no wonder that we have a large percentage of veterinarians belonging to the AVMA while only a small percentage of physicians support the AMA. Keep up the good work!
