Henry Kissinger once said, “The task of the leader is to get … people from where they are to where they have not been.” As the AVMA looks to forge a new generation of leaders that will help us face future challenges and benefit from new opportunities, Kissinger’s thoughts couldn’t be more apropos.
We’re offering a yearlong Future Leaders Program that will identify and develop volunteer leaders for the AVMA and other organized veterinary groups. Open to anyone who has graduated from veterinary school within the last 15 years, this pilot program will bolster leadership and problem-solving skills related to organized veterinary medicine. If you’re interested, you’ll find all you need on the AVMA website. So take an active role in the future of the AVMA and organized veterinary medicine, and help take us to new and exciting places we’ve never been before.
