Take Action at the AVMA-CAN Booth, Send Letters to Congress

The 148th Annual AVMA Convention is right around the corner and your Governmental Relations Division (GRD) will be well-represented this year! Visit the AVMA Pavilion, booth #1130, to talk with your GRD staff about legislative issues and regulations that matter to you and to answer any questions you might have.

From July 16-18, the AVMA Congressional Advocacy Network (AVMA-CAN) booth will be onsite where you will have a chance to voice your concerns directly to Congress. The GRD has developed electronic letters on the Veterinary Services Investment Act and the Fairness to Pet Owners Act in the legislative action center that you can personalize and send to your congressional member right from the AVMA-CAN booth.

Now is the time to take action!  Let Congress know what is important to you and the veterinary profession!

Let’s flood Capitol Hill with letters! Letters are an effective form of communication and have the greatest impact when personalized. Letters elicit responses. Letters have significant impact on legislators. They are also a concrete statement of your viewpoint, which the legislator may use to help make decisions about their stance on an issue. And even if you can’t make it to the convention, you can still send letters to Congress by visiting AVMA-CAN Government Action Center.
