Partnering for Healthy Pets

Step right up and be one of the first to take advantage of valuable new business tools that will help improve animal health and strengthen the bond between veterinarians and their clients.

Partners for Healthy Pets will unveil new business resource tools at the AVMA Annual Convention next month in San Diego. The tools provide you with dynamic ways to reinforce a practicewide focus on preventive pet healthcare and to enhance your communication with clients about the value of, and need for, routine care visits.

Convention attendees are invited to view demonstrations of the tools on Monday, Aug. 6, at one of two snack sessions being held in the Exhibit Hall’s Lunchtime Connection area, or at a special lunch session. Lunch attendance is free but limited to 200. Attendees can pick up tickets at the Partners for Healthy Pets booth in the Exhibit Hall (#1146). Check your convention program for specific times and locations, just in case things change at the last minute.

In addition, a full-day symposium on preventive pet healthcare also will be offered Aug. 6. Symposium topics range from how to offer preventive healthcare plans to marketing your practice through the internet and social media.

The tools will be available to all AVMA and American Animal Hospital Association members through the Partners website beginning Aug. 6.

  1. I think it is time for the AVMA and the state VMA organizations to quit hampering veterinarians who wish to market over the counter medications like Frontline, Advantage, etc through web-sites on the internet. Todays business climate is moving more and more to web based sites and the clients of your practices are intuitive enough to shop online. To be told that you as a veterinarian cannot solicit online business for OTC products when Merial and other manufacturers products are being sold and warehoused by big box stores like Sams Club, etc and are being marketed by Pet’s is the height of hypocrisy!!! Those products have been purchased by some veterinarian or are being wholesaled to the big box stores by the manufacturers direct!
