Agriculture Issues Focus of AVMA Convention Radio Broadcast

Antibiotic use, animal welfare and the 2012 Farm Bill highlighted a live broadcast by AgriTalk Radio at the AVMA’s Annual Convention in San Diego, Calif., August 6. AgriTalk host Mike Adams came to California to talk with veterinary experts and to explore the critical roles veterinarians play in agriculture and food safety. This is the second time the AgriTalk crew has appeared at an AVMA convention, first broadcasting from St. Louis, Mo., last year.

We’d like to thank the AVMA members who appeared on the show. AgriTalk was kind enough to share with us videos of the guests’ segments, each of which can be accessed through the links found below.

  • Dr. René Carlson, AVMA president, talked about several AVMA initiatives related to the veterinary workforce and animal agriculture.
