Policy Alert: Member Comments Sought on All Professional Policies

We sent the following notification out this morning to members who have subscribed to receive AVMA policy alerts by email. If you didn’t receive it and would like to get similar alerts in the future, you can sign up for this mailing list in our Email Subscription Center – as long as you are an AVMA member. (Policy alerts are available only to AVMA members.)

All AVMA Professional Policies Now Open for Member Comment
We are pleased to announce that as of Jan. 1, 2013, all AVMA professional policies are open for comment by AVMA members and SAVMA members year-round. Commenting links are provided on each policy. A list of policies is available on the AVMA website.

Policies undergo formal AVMA review on a regular basis, but comments can be made by members on any policy at any time. Policies that are scheduled for upcoming review are identified with a special icon on the list of policies, and comments on those policies are particularly timely. You must be signed into the AVMA website to make comments. If you have forgotten your AVMA ID or password, you can get a reminder emailed to you at any time from the website sign-in page.

Member input is critical to the development of AVMA policy, and the policy commenting forum was developed in response to member requests. We hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to provide your input on AVMA’s professional policies. Please also let your colleagues know about this new feature and invite them to comment on AVMA policies as well.

If you believe that you already are subscribed to receive policy alerts but did not receive this one, it might be that we have an old email address in our files. Please take a look at the contact information in your member profile to see if it is current.
