Do Something Big—Be An AVMA Fellow

By: Stephanie Fisher, program manager and policy analyst, Governmental Relations Division

New Year’s resolutions come and go, but applying to the Governmental Relations Division’s Fellowship Program can be a worthwhile challenge that brings about yearlong opportunities to provide scientific expertise to Capitol Hill and make a difference in the development of public policy that affects the veterinary profession.

This is your chance to take a leap forward and do something big. Look beyond clinical practice and gain a better understanding of public policy development. As an AVMA fellow, you can use your technical expertise to shape and influence legislation that affects important issues such as animal health and welfare, and the health and safety of our nation.

Applications are due by Feb. 8. Apply now.
