Update 2 – 6 p.m. Central Time:
All systems should be back to normal at this time. Thanks to everyone for your patience while we worked through our technical difficulties today.
Update 1 – 4 p.m. Central Time:
We’ve restored all services still working to resolve this issue. In addition to website functionality, we have lost telephone service at our headquarters building, and we want to apologize to anyone who has tried to call us today. We would love to hear from you and help you in any way possible, but we have no incoming or outgoing phone service at all. Our IT staff is working hard, alongside utility workers, to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, thanks for your patience, and please try to stay safe if these storms are headed your way.
We’ve had some powerful storms roll through the Midwest today, closing highways, flooding basements and roads, and knocking out power to a lot of people. Among the casualties, unfortunately, are some services on the AVMA website.
While most of the website is available, we’ve temporarily lost a connection that lets members sign in. What that means is that you might not be able to get access to the AVMA store or member-only content. This could include the following:
- NOAH discussion forums
- My AVMA personalized content
- Commenting on AVMA policies
- Email Subscription Center
- Online membership renewal
- Veterinary salary calculator
- AVMA Now video news
- SAVMA dues payment
- Online PAC donations
We’re working hard to get these services restored and hope the service interruption doesn’t cause any inconvenience. This blog is unaffected, and we’ll post updates here as soon as we have them.
