Nearly 300 veterinarians, technicians and veterinary students stopped by the AVMA-CAN booth at AVMA’s Annual Convention in Chicago last month to write their congressional representatives about issues that impact them. AVMA members reached out to Congress on several important pieces of pending legislation including the:
- Veterinary Medicine Mobility Act,
- Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act,
- Veterinary Medicine Loan Repayment Program Enhancement Act, and the
- Prevent All Soring Tactics Act.
Staff from AVMA’s Governmental Relations Division discussed these issues and more with convention attendees. We enjoyed meeting all of you and hearing your concerns about current and future federal legislation.
