AVMF joins Animal Connections: Our Journey Together as sponsor

The AVMA, the Smithsonian Institution and Zoetis are honored that the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) has joined as a sponsor of our exciting Animal Connections: Our Journey Together traveling exhibit. Animal Connections is a free, mobile exhibit on an 18-wheel truck that introduces visitors of all ages to the complex bond between humans and animals, highlighting throughout the critical role veterinarians play in ensuring the health of both.

As the exhibit continues its journey across the country educating and entertaining visitors, the AVMF is seeking volunteers from its network of veterinarians, students and supporters who would like to serve as Animal Connections guides in their home city. Volunteers will be scheduled in two-hour shifts to be coordinated by AVMF staff. Anyone interested in volunteering or needing additional information can contact the AVMF’s Laura Roth at 847-285-6689 or lroth@avma.org. Animal Connections has attracted thousands of guests since its launch in Chicago last summer. Why not volunteer a few hours of your time to help us keep the good times rolling?

  1. I visited the exhibit in Dallas at the Dallas Zoo. It was amazing. So much fun to watch the children and their parent discuss how to care for animals. It was so compassionate and educational. It had great interactive activities!!! Come back soon!! We loved it!
