On April 8, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the appointment of Dr. Neil Olson, dean of the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine, to serve on the National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education, and Economics (NAREEE) Advisory Board. Olson joins seven other members who have been appointed to serve a three-year term on the board, which will end on Sept. 30, 2016.
The 25-member board advises the agriculture secretary and land-grant colleges and universities on the nation’s top priorities and policies for food and agricultural research, education, extension and economics. Its main objective is to solicit broad stakeholder feedback and sound science to help contribute to effective federal agricultural research, education and economics programs.
