National Pet Week®, observed each year in the first full week of May, celebrates the special bonds between pets and people, and encourages pet owners to ensure that they provide all of their animal companions – furry, feathered, scaly or otherwise – a complete lifetime of love.
The AVMA proudly sponsors National Pet Week® and provides an extensive toolkit of clinic resources that AVMA members may use to bring the celebration into their own hospitals and communities. Included among those is a free poster that you can order to display in your clinic. Shown here, this heartfelt poster reminds pet owners that “From the moment you realize your pet’s ‘the one,’ to the last tearful goodbye, your veterinarian helps you provide your pet with a lifetime of love.”
Veterinarians who would like a copy of this free poster to display in clinics for Pet Week need to order from our online store by April 28. Please place your order as soon as possible, as quantities are limited.
Don’t forget to make use of the full range of other resources that also are available to your clinic in our National Pet Week® toolkit. These include:
- Ready-to-use content for you to post on your social media pages, including copy-and-paste message posts and ready-to-download images.
- A customizable National Pet Week® proclamation asking your mayor, governor or other elected officials to endorse this important event.
- Ideas for easy, stress-free ways to celebrate National Pet Week® in your clinic and around your community.
- Marketing tips and best practices to get the word out about events or promotions in your clinic.
Pet Week is only two weeks away, but there’s still plenty of time to order your clinic poster and plan to celebrate in your clinic. Learn more about National Pet Week® at petweek.org.
