We’re proud of the fact that the AVMA has a long tradition of supporting our veterinary students and recent graduates. We support Student Chapters of the AVMA; we make regular visits to our colleges and schools of veterinary medicine; we serve as a resource to thousands of students; we host the Faculty Advisor Student Leader Conference; we financially support the Veterinary Leadership Experience; and we award externships and scholarships. The list, as they say, goes on and on.
But we know we can do more, and we know we can always improve on what we already do. That’s why the AVMA and its Membership and Field Services Division are forming the Task Force on AVMA Programs for Students and Recent Graduates. We want to continue to meet the needs of these young professionals and to get even better at making sure we’re there for them in the future.
Sure, we have our own ideas, but, more importantly, we need your input. The task force will be reviewing the programs already in place and identifying new areas of opportunity. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for eight members to join the task force and help us build a better future for our students. You’ve got ideas, and we’re saving you a place at the table. Send your application today – we need your help.
