Convention 2011

If you’re looking to save some money (and who isn’t these days?), advance registration for the AVMA Convention in St. Louis is now open. Why not take advantage of the lower registration fee that is currently available to all convention attendees? By registering before April 15, you’ll not only get the lower rate, you’ll also get first chance to sign up for interactive labs and other limited attendance events. You also save $25 if you book your hotel reservation with our housing company before you register for the convention. Another great way to save money!

You can find everything you need to register on our convention web page. While you’re there, take a look at some of our new and noteworthy continuing education programs. Our new Inside the Issues programming, for example, is designed to spark dialog about important issues facing our profession. Our Hot Topic sessions are sure to generate interest, as we address some of today’s most timely issues. And be sure to check out the new opportunity to earn up to two hours of continuing education by visiting our Exhibit Hall. (We do urge you, however, to check with your state licensing board to confirm that our exhibit hall credits are accepted.)

In addition to excellent CE, be sure to check out all of the things to do in St. Louis. You’ll be amazed at all of the family-friendly places to visit, and the best part is that most of them are free.

We look forward to meeting you in St. Louis. Why not get a head start on planning your convention experience by registering today?

  1. I would like information on obtaining where a Licensed AVMA is working for has been working in the past 3 years. I am subject to a registered Veternarian and had working under the radar to avoid what he had done to me years previous. Used to work for him, hired his still working employees, bookkeeper and know one will help me. Please I am desparate for your help, I am a victom of a con and need help.

  2. Dear Dr DeGraffenreid,

Thank you for your thoughts about AVMA Honor Roll Members receiving complimentary convention registration. The Convention Management and Program Committee (CMPC) oversees the convention fees and reviews each of the categories annually. We have shared your concern with the committee for their future discussions.

We truly appreciate your long time support of the AVMA with your 48 years of membership. The AVMA offers discounts and savings to its retired and Honor Roll members with an exemption from paying dues. There is also a special reduced VIP convention rate extended to Honor Roll members. If you register before April 15 the fee is only $380, while other members pay $500. There is an additional $25 discount if you reserve your housing in one of the AVMA housing block hotels before you complete your registration.

Again, thank you for your comments and your support of the AVMA.

  3. I feel that the retired Honor Roll members should receive complimentary registration. This is done at our state meeting and the attendence has increased. In a small way the economy, vendors and the AVMA is helped.
