If you ask the folks at Trade Show Executive magazine, there’s more than one way to judge a successful convention or show. And thanks to all of the efforts of the AVMA volunteers and staff members who make our Annual Convention a regular success, we’ve hit the mark on all three.
The magazine’s editorial staff named the AVMA’s Annual Convention one of the fastest-growing trade shows in the U.S. The rankings were published in the magazine’s August issue and are based on shows held in 2011.
The AVMA convention was ranked 32nd on the magazine’s Fastest 50 list based on percentage of growth in paid exhibit space, which grew by 15.2 percent from the 2010 show in Atlanta to the 2011 event held in St. Louis. The AVMA convention also excelled in the areas of increased number of exhibitors and increased attendance.
Making the Fastest 50 list is a tremendous honor that reflects not only the commitment and hard work on the part of AVMA volunteers and staff, but also your dedication to the veterinary profession and the work you do to serve both animals and people.
We tip our hats to all of you. And we’re looking forward to another successful convention in Chicago in 2013, celebrating the AVMA’s 150th anniversary.
