AVMA’s Congressional Advocacy Network membership has hit an all-time high of 25,000 members! These veterinary advocates are the first to hear about and take action on important legislation, like the Veterinary Medicine Loan Repayment Program Enhancement Act.
Are you one of the 25,000 advocating for federal legislation that supports the veterinary profession? If not, visit the AVMA-CAN site to learn more and join the network.
Also, last month AVMA-CAN’s Facebook page reached over 6,000 followers. We’d like to thank our community of veterinarians, veterinary students and technicians interested in learning more about federal legislation that affects the veterinary profession and about how they can become an AVMA advocate. Your actions are making a difference!
We also post the latest videos, photos and articles on veterinary issues and updates from AVMA Governmental Relations Division’s externships, fellowships and other ways to get involved. Some of our top posts last year included a call to action to end the abusive practice of soring horses, news about the passage of the Veterinary Medicine Mobility Act and updates on the Ebola virus crisis. Don’t miss out! If you haven’t already, follow us on Facebook today.
Can’t get enough of us? AVMA-CAN is on Twitter too! Follow our Twitter feed @AVMACAN to get the latest news, links and updates that impact federal advocacy and veterinary medicine.
