Veterinary mental health and wellbeing are key concerns for AVMA members – and for the AVMA. As part of our commitment to address them, we collaborated with Merck Animal Health to measure the wellbeing of veterinary professionals in a first-of-its-kind study released earlier this year. On November 13, you’ll have the opportunity to dig into the study results during a one-hour webinar with the researchers.

Join us on November 13 at noon Central Time for “Do We Have a Mental Health Crisis? Results of the Merck Animal Health Veterinary Wellbeing Study.” Dr. Elizabeth Strand, founding director of veterinary social work at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, will detail what the study found about the current state of mental health among veterinarians, and what the findings mean for us, our colleagues, and the profession.

This AVMA Lead & Learn CE webinar will give you a deeper understanding of mental health and wellbeing in our profession, and a chance to discuss recommendations for what can be done to improve wellbeing at the organizational, individual, and practice levels. Register here to reserve your seat. It’s a great opportunity to interact first-hand with the researchers who led this important study while also earning 1 hour of CE credit.

AVMA’s Lead & Learn webinar series is supported by an educational grant from Zomedica. Live webinars are offered to all veterinary professionals, and AVMA members who can’t attend the live sessions are able to watch them on demandAll Lead & Learn webinars offer 1 hour of CE credit.

New on-demand learning: loan repayment

If you missed last month’s webinar on student loan repayment options and strategies, the recording is now available on our website and free for viewing by all AVMA members. In Student Loan Repayment Options and Strategies,” AVMA Assistant Director for Student Initiatives Dr. Caroline Cantner and VIN student loan expert Dr. Tony Bartels discuss the current student loan landscape, loan repayment strategies and options, and how they might apply to you.
