Raw pet diets: Pros, cons, and client communication

Join us on AVMA Axon tomorrow – Wednesday, July 10 – for To Cook or Not to Cook: Pros and Cons of Raw Diet. Then come back later in the month – on Thursday, July 25 – for Raw Diets: Making Client Communication Appetizing. Both webinars will be led by Dr. Deborah Linder, a board-certified veterinary nutritionist.

The first course will address the benefits and risks of raw meat-based diets, owner motivations for choosing a raw diet, clinical recommendations, human and animal health risks associated with raw diets, and protocols for ensuring both veterinary team and animal safety when treating pets who may have consumed contaminated food. The second will focus on strategies for discussing raw meat diets with pet owners, including how to incorporate owner motivations in the conversation.

Each webinar offers 1 hour of CE credit. AVMA and SAVMA members can participate free of charge; the cost for others to attend is $25 per webinar. If you can’t attend the live events, the recordings will be available for on-demand viewing afterward.
