AVMA invests in your leadership journey
Apply for VLC scholarships
Are you an AVMA member interested in attending the 2020 Veterinary Leadership Conference (VLC)? We want to help you get there.
The VLC is the veterinary profession's premier conference for leadership development and will take place in Chicago January 9-12. The AVMA, in partnership with Hill's Pet Nutrition, awards a limited number of scholarships to AVMA members interested in attending. Applications are now being accepted for these scholarships, which take the form of $1,000 stipends to help with the cost of registration, travel, and meals.
The AVMA is committed to investing in a strong and diverse future for the veterinary profession, so priority is given to scholarship applicants who fall into one or more of the following categories:
- Rising leaders – Attendees with a desire to get involved with veterinary organizations and with little or no prior leadership experience
- Underrepresented in veterinary leadership – Veterinarians from a demographic, geographic, racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic group or practice type that is underrepresented in U.S. veterinary leadership
If you are interested in attending, download the application and return it by October 31 to avmascholarshipsavma [dot] org (avmascholarships[at]avma[dot]org). You will be notified of the status of your application no later than November 19.
