As veterinarians, we rely on many different tools and resources to help us succeed as doctors and professionals. But when these tools aren’t used to their fullest advantage, unnecessary challenges can emerge. This month you’ll have the opportunity to learn from free CE webinars, how to optimize two critical resources: your healthcare team and your online reputation.

Join us February 13 at noon Central Time for “Utilizing Veterinary Technicians: How does your Practice Measure up?” This webinar will explore what optimal utilization of credentialed technicians can look like, and give you insight into how your practice measures up against other practices and current standards. Hear from veterinary technician specialist and program director for the Recover CPR Initiative, Ken Yagi, about obstacles that may prevent you from fully leveraging technicians’ skills, and methods to overcome these obstacles.

Then, on February 28 at noon Central Time join us for “Protecting Your Online Reputation” to learn what you can do to safeguard your reputation in the digital age. Dr. Caitlin DeWilde, veterinarian and founder of The Social DVM, a social media consulting firm for veterinarians, will offer strategies and actionable steps you can take to prevent cyberbullying attacks, manage and respond to online reviews, attract positive feedback, and monitor negative online activity that could threaten your reputation.

These live webinars are part of the AVMA’s Lead & Learn series. They’re free and open to all veterinary professionals, with the option to earn 1 hour of CE credit. AVMA members who can’t attend the live sessions will be able to watch them later on-demand with an option to earn the same CE credit.

Sneak peek at March learning

Next month will bring even more online learning opportunities, including a free webinar about exploring a career in One Health. Join us March 13 at noon Central Time for “What it Takes to Build a Career in One Health.” You’ll hear from Dr. Eri Togami, One Health fellow at the One Health Institute, School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis, about what a career in One Health can look like for you. Dr. Togami will discuss core educational competencies, employment, and ongoing workforce development in the One Health arena. This webinar is sponsored by the AVMA Veterinary Career Center and offers 1 hour of CE credit. The webinar will be recorded for on-demand viewing, but CE credit is only available for live attendees. Learn more and register here.

New on demand: Resources for your practice

If you missed last month’s webinars, which offered insight into topics in practice management, practice transitions, and the benefits of pet insurance, the recordings are now posted on our website. They are available for free viewing by all AVMA members with the option to earn 1 hour of CE credit.

Pet Insurance: Better Patient Care, More Practice Revenue & Happier Clients
