Support for early-career attendees
Are you just getting started in veterinary leadership? Have you graduated within the last five years? Scholarships for AVMA members at large
This scholarship, sponsored by CareCredit, offers an opportunity for 10 AVMA members from any field of interest or practice type to attend VLC 2021. If you’re interested in leadership development and would like to learn more about organized veterinary medicine, this is your chance to do so in a unique environment. All levels of experience are welcome to apply. Questions about these scholarships should be emailed to jtaggettavma [dot] org (jtaggett[at]avma[dot]org).
Leadership development goes virtual
The AVMA’s Veterinary Leadership Conference is the premier event for veterinary leadership training, and strong leadership is needed now more than ever. Moving to a virtual format in 2021 to ensure the health and safety of attendees, the conference will still offer a unique mix of CE sessions, AVMA governance meetings, and networking.
Whether you consider yourself a seasoned leader or you’re just beginning to explore what a leadership role in our profession might mean for you, VLC 2021 will develop and hone your leadership skills. You’ll also see first-hand how the AVMA does business, and learn about current hot topics in veterinary medicine.
VLC attendees can earn over 30 hours of continuing education (CE) credit: 9 hours of live CE, plus more than 20 additional hours on demand, after the event. The registration deadline for live access to the VLC sessions, governance meetings, and networking opportunities is December 30, 2020.
