The American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists recently approved a set of guidelines for equine anesthesia. The guidelines, prepared by the ACVA Equine Standards Committee, do not recommend specific anesthetic protocols or drugs. Rather, they are intended to aid practitioners in identifying important areas for consideration when they are planning to anesthetize a horse. The guidelines are posted on the ACVA Web site. | ||
