Antimicrobial resistance abstracts invited

Abstracts are being accepted for the 2007 Annual Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance, which will be held June 25-27 in Bethesda, Md. Abstracts must be received by March 2.

Categories for abstract submissions include basic science and mechanisms of resistance, preclinical studies, clinical studies and field trials, product development, determinants and risk factors for community-acquired resistance, determinants and risk factors for nosocomial resistance, antimicrobial resistance in veterinary medicine and agriculture, prevention and control, economics of antimicrobial development and use, adverse effects, epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance, and laboratory identification.

Abstracts should be submitted via the online submission program on the conference Web site

The conference is sponsored by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases in collaboration with the AVMA, American Academy of Pediatrics, Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Environmental Protection Agency, Food and Drug Administration's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, Infectious Diseases Society of America, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, and Department of Agriculture.
