Just announced: FTC chair to address AVMA business forum

The AVMA will welcome Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chair Lina M. Khan to open next week’s 2023 AVMA Veterinary Business and Economic Forum with a special address. 

The FTC is focused on issues of interest to the veterinary profession—including non-compete agreements, mergers, and private-equity acquisitions. Khan’s address to forum attendees will provide an update on the FTC’s work, the insights generated during recent comment periods, and the FTC’s enforcement action plan. 

Her presentation will kick off the forum on Tuesday, October 24, at noon Central Time.
