Veterinary innovation and AVMA Convention 2024

Innovation is nothing new. Innovation is what IS new. And it’s important that we as veterinarians embrace all that is available to us in our efforts to best serve our patients and our clients.

New technologies are substantially impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of veterinary health care delivery. Artificial intelligence (AI), 3-D printing, telemedicine, wearables, virtual reality, advanced diagnostics, biomarkers and genetic testing, and electronic health record systems are all in play.

It’s important that we as veterinarians embrace all that is available to us in our efforts to best serve our patients and our clients.

AVMA Convention 2024 in Austin, Texas, presents an opportunity to explore advancements in veterinary technology. Running June 21-25, it will be ripe with opportunities for the entire veterinary team to dive into exciting programming focused on the latest in diagnostics and treatment. 

Continuing education (CE) sessions focused on innovation and new technologies in veterinary medicine are well represented in the 650+ hours of CE offerings. Among the many topics:

This year’s AVMA Convention also offers some very special events, including a keynote address by NBA Hall of Famer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Earvin “Magic” Johnson; the AVMA concert with Brothers Osborne; and our Live Life, Love All celebration.
